Help Admiral Janek Zai investigate the claims of the Seismic faction.

Admiral Zai has unexpectedly heard from his former shipmate Colonel Radomir, now the leader of Seismic — an elite brigade of Ostian military Slayers who have rebelled against Ostia's isolationist new rulers, the Triumvirate. The colonel informed the admiral that Seismic had good reason to go rogue. The Triumvirate has ordered military Slayer units to withdraw from Ostia's frontier islands, leaving thousands and thousands of settlers, farmers, and bases behind. Even worse, Radomir claims Ostia's brightest scientific minds have detected a growing aether surge on the event horizon of the Maelstrom. The admiral will be granting you contracts that allow you to gather Seismic Intel that will help him determine whether his old friend is right — and determine how to face it if he is.

Janek Zai: "I have troubling news. My former shipmate, Colonel Radomir, has led the Seismic Brigade in rebellion against Ostia's new government. I agree with him that the new ruling Triumvirate's withdrawal from the Ostian frontier helps no one. But is going rogue the answer?"
Janek Zai: "I'm not so sure it is, but the colonel thinks there's more to this than the Triumvirate's fear of ranging too far. An aether surge may be forming in the Maelstrom's heart. And we have no clear idea what's behind it."
Janek Zai: "You're going to help me find out, Slayer. I've got a series of contracts that will help you gather Seismic Intel: facts and clues that will help me uncover the truth. Time was I trusted Radomir with my life. I want to know if that instinct was wrong."

Janek Zai: "There can no longer be any doubt. The Triumvirate may well be a bigger threat to Ostia than an army of rampaging Behemoths. While they play political games, an umbral island chain threatens the rest of the Shattered Isles."
Janek Zai: "I'm taking my support of Seismic public and intend to let the chips fall where they may. If the Triumvirate wants my commission they'll be welcome to it. But the stakes are too high to withdraw from the world."
Janek Zai: "No nation is strong enough to stand completely alone forever, not even Ostia. Only with all of us working together have we determined what we're going to face next. Speaking of which… you might want to start upgrading those radiant weapons."
