|“||When a Slayer is faced with the overwhelming odds of an especially deadly challenge, they reach for the most valuable resource at their disposal. More than any new weapon, armour, lantern, or potion, a Slayer’s reputation is critical to their success. The path to making it home in one piece is too lonely without the trust of the leaders of Ramsgate and the resources that they command.||„|
Overview[edit | edit source]
Reputation in Dauntless is a progression system that rewards Slayers who gain the favor of characters in Ramsgate. Slayers can perform various in game actions to progress a related reputation track, such as finishing a hunt, crafting a weapon and completing a daily quest.
Tracks[edit | edit source]
|“||Captain Katerin Sorrel will be your guide in the ways of the Slayer, unlocking new challenges as you establish your name in the Shattered Isles. Wils Bormen, Ramsgate’s weaponsmith, will be more than happy to put special attention into weaponry and cells. And the Bosun, Markus Boehr, will give you the tools to unravel the mysteries of aether-infused alchemy in exchange for your aid.||„|
Reputation tracks or paths are themed divisions of in game actions that garner the favor of Dauntless' NPCs. Each track offers one weekly and two daily quests which award a large bounty of XP in their respective paths, though all can be progressed through other means. To unlock access to tracks, the required quest must be completed. Some quests reward reputation XP.
There are three tracks currently:
- Slayer is themed around completing hunts and generic combat goals. Unlocked after completing Gnasher Attack.
- Weaponmaster is themed around using certain weapons and specific combat goals. Unlocked after completing Furious Fussilade.
- Alchemist is themed around gathering reagents to craft supplies and completing expeditions. Unlocked after accepting Fieldwork.
- Armoursmith will be implemented with The Coming Storm update.
