Gnasher is one of the Behemoths in the world of Dauntless.

Journal Entry

"We’re reading a full-strength Gnasher on that island, cap. Big, mean, hairy beast with a tail as big as an airskiff’s hull."

The Gnasher is a reptilian-mammalian bully that always seem to be on the edge of rage. Among the more common Behemoths found in the Shattered Isles, these ferocious but fairly predictable creatures are often the first prey of an apprentice Slayer. Yet they should never be underestimated.

Gnashers instinctively use their chopping teeth to dig into the earth for archonite fragments, but those mighty incisors can just as easily snap a tree trunk or a Slayer's leg in two. The wide, flat tail they use to clear away obstacles to the aether they crave can also crush Slayers flat with a single slam.

Gnashers prefer neutral archonite untinged by the elements, but are known to be opportunistic feeders.

Kat's Hunting Tips:

—Cut off the Gnasher's tail to prevent tail swipes.

—Interrupt a Gnasher by striking its head when it performs a belly-crawl attack.

—The Gnasher's stomp can knock you flat. Roll through or away from it.

Gnasher

A burrowing raw aether-feeder possessing mammalian and reptilian characteristics. Its powerful tail can flatten an unwary Slayer while its heavy incisors can sever a limb in a single bite.

The Gnasher has very simple attacks with require little know-how to dodge.

Tail Slam - The Gnasher will do a front flip, smashing with it's body, and most importantly, it's tail. there is a small slot between the gnashers flip, standing in front of the Gnasher will allow you to go under the flip, and avoid it without having to lift a finger.

Gnawing charge - The Gnasher will charge up a attack, Allowing the beast a swift charge, which can be interrupted with any weapon that may stun ( hammers, axes, swords, Etc. )

Tail swat / slam - The gnasher will hop upwards and face it's tail towards you, and attempt to squash you with it's over sized fly swatter.

Enrage

The gnasher will stomp rapidly, indicating it will enrage. the gnasher will then do it's tail slam repeatedly, stay out of it's attack, and let it tire itself out
