Wiki Policy

Below is the official policy of the Dauntless Wiki. All editors must adhere to these rules.

The Dauntless Wiki is an official wiki, run by players and managed by Phoenix Labs developers.

  1. Anything that is against the Phoenix Labs TOS is not allowed on the wiki.
  2. Vandalism, spam, and disruptive editing are prohibited.
  3. The format of the wiki is managed by the administrator staff and Phoenix Labs developers. As this wiki reflects their product, Phoenix Labs has the authority to change the wiki in any way they deem necessary. Unapproved format changes may be reverted or altered at their discretion.
  4. This wiki uses Canadian English, as it is the main language used in Dauntless. Do not change text to their American equivalents.
  5. Data and/or files obtained through data mining, hacking, reverse engineering, or anything of that sort is forbidden on the wiki. It is disrespectful towards the dev team and will not be tolerated.
  6. Only official videos and videos from the Dauntless Partner Program are to be used on the wiki.

Any user found in violation of this policy will incur a minimum ban of two weeks, with the maximum penalty of being permanently banned from the wiki. Any and all information pertaining to said bans will be immediately provided to Phoenix Labs and may result in being banned from Dauntless.

General Editing Guidelines

  • Use proper grammar and spelling. Stick to Canadian English in order to be consistent with the game.
  • Don't vandalize pages.
  • Avoid editorializing -- stick to facts.
  • When uploading photos, stick to a naming convention that is consistent with precedent.
  • If you have a question, feel free to ask in the Discord #wiki-discussion Channel.

Style Guidelines

  • When typing a rarity, use the Rarity Templates:
    • {{Epic}} = Epic
    • {{Legendary}} = Legendary
    • {{Artifact}} = Artifact
  • When indicating an amount of currency in a chart, use the Currency Templates followed by a number:
    • {{Rams}} 100 = Rams Icon 001.png 100
    • {{Platinum}} 200 = Platinum Icon 001.png 200
    • {{Steel Marks}} 300 = Steel Marks Icon 001.png 300
      • Additionally, values presented like this should be left-aligned, in order to align the icons.
  • When indicating an amount of materials in a chart, use the Crafting Item Template (text & icon) followed by a number:
    • {{CraftingItem|Common|Apex Riftfang}} (x3) = Apex Riftfang Icon 001.pngApex Riftfang (x3)
    • {{CraftingItem|Rare|Unstable Nullhide}} (x7) = Unstable Nullhide Icon 001.pngUnstable Nullhide (x7)
    • {{CraftingItem|Epic|Riftsoul Shard}} (x2) = Riftsoul Shard Icon 001.pngRiftsoul Shard (x2)
      • Additionally, values presented like this should be left-aligned, in order to align the icons.
  • When referring to a quantity of currency, materials, etc. within a sentence, use the Currency Template (text & icon), with the number preceding it:
    • Avenging Overdrive can be purchased with 500 Steel Marks Icon 001.pngSteel Marks obtained from completing Normal Trials.
  • When indicating a number which is one thousand or greater, include the proper comma every third non-decimal digit:
    • 1,000
    • 1,500.34
    • 2,327,500
    • If making a template that pulls from Cargo Tables, the magic word {{formatnum:}} can help parse values, e.g. {{formatnum:123456789.99}} produces 123,456,789.99.

To-do List

A Dauntless wiki roadmap can be found here.

Cargo Templates

Many articles on this wiki have their data stored in Cargo Tables. Cargo stores data in tables, and each time a template is called, a new row is added to the table. To add new information to a cargo table, all you need to do is fill out the template with the relevant fields within that page. The documentation on each template page will give further instructions for populating it.
